My name is Taron Plaza.
先生の研究分野は何ですか？
My research field is TESOL, which stands for Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. Basically it’s the study of how to teach English to people who grew up speaking a different language.
先生がTESOLに興味を持ったきっかけは何ですか？
I was working as an English teacher in Japan and became interested in how I could better help students learn. I realized there were special qualities to learners from different countries and wanted to learn more about them.
大学で英語を学ぶ学生にとって何が重要だと思いますか？
I think it is important for students to have a sense of community with their classmates, then they can feel confident and supported. They will work together to achieve their goals.
英語コミュニケーション専攻の魅力は何でしょうか？
If you have a dream to use English in your future, we can help you achieve it. The English Communication major helps students to bring out their potential with English. We offer many different areas of study to help students with many different interests.
